Celebrating a child’s birthday is a cherished rite of passage for any new parent. You are, after all, sharing your joy with the rest of the world. I remember my son’s first birthday. The celebration was on a Saturday, and I had spent the entire week shopping for themed decor and birthday clothes online. Everything was delivered on the Thursday – 2 days before the grand party – at my doorstep. But in a few minutes, after it was delivered, the package with all my carefully chosen items was stolen. So I took the day off on Friday and ran pillar to post getting things ready for Saturday. There were so many things to tick off the check-list of party favors, favor bags, birthday theme, birthday cake which I hadn’t realized some people order weeks in advance! I was completely overwhelmed.
Over the years, I have celebrated many more birthdays. Some have been intense, hosted at home, and some a casual walk-in at a bouncy-house-kind-of-place eat-pizza-kind-of-thing. I learned about birthday entertainers and experimented with themes. I gained expertise in knowing where to look for the things I wanted, and also the wisdom to shrug my shoulder and say C’est la vie if something didn’t work out the way I wanted it to. My expectations, perspective, and priorities have adjusted. When I look back at the younger, more hassled me, I wish I could to put a hand on her shoulder and whisper some of the tips I learned through the years. So when my friend mentioned she was getting into the business of arranging birthday parties, I was excited. It is great when your birthday party is magical, but what is better is when you don’t have to kill yourself trying to make the magic all by yourself. I hope www.birthdaya2z.com helps a lot of parents make memorable memories!
